Watch cannot receive stress notifications

Due to inherent delays in the Apple Watch system, occasional notification delays or notifications appearing in the red dot are normal.

However, if the app shows data but you're consistently not receiving stress alerts, consider checking the following potential issues:

  1. Ensure the StressWatch app is properly installed on your watch.

  2. Go to iOS Settings > StressWatch > Notifications, and verify if notifications are enabled.

  3. Open the Watch app on your iPhone, navigate to Notifications, and find StressWatch to check if notifications are allowed.

  4. Check if your iPhone or Apple Watch is in a special mode like low power, sleep, Focus, work, theater, or Do Not Disturb.

  5. In iOS Settings > General > Background App Refresh, ensure this feature is enabled, including specifically for StressWatch.

  6. Check iOS Settings > StressWatch > Background App Refresh to see if it’s enabled, as this is necessary for receiving notifications (both the settings in points 4 and 5 need to be enabled for background refresh).

  7. On your Apple Watch, go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh and ensure it’s turned on, including for StressWatch.
